Plastic bags are destructive to the environment as the tiny particles of which they are made up can infiltrate the water as well as the food chain. In addition, ocean currents accumulate millions of tons of plastic creating enormous floating islands. The marine animals will be constructed of plastic bags, a material which pollutes the oceans and leads to the destruction of marine ecosystems through the food chain. It is a project which aims to sensitize people to sea pollution.
