Make Art Not War
Although peace is the dream of all people throughout the ages, it is not a given. Peace requires a much greater effort than war.
For me, war is a sacrifice of people and a squandering of resources. Peace, on the other hand, presupposes peoples consent to achieve something greater: reconciliation, unity and welfare. In the context of peace, man can not only be creative but is also able to savor the fruits of his labor. It is only within this context that art can flourish and actually become the lingua franca of mankind.
